Last week, HS2 whistleblowers leaked details of the exponentially rising costs, delays to completion and serious allegations of misconduct against a number of HS2 senior officers. When asked why they have published this information, they replied “This is information from HS2 Ltd employees who can no longer stomach HS2 Ltd lies”, adding, “We want to do the right thing”.

These disclosures by HS2 Ltd employees follow statements made separately by Conservative MP Andrew Brigden and by Lord Berkeley. Both explained they had seen evidence showing the “loss making project” would exceed budgets and suffer massive delays with predictions of a 2041 end date.

This time, allegations of misconduct from several independent leaks have been directed at four senior officers at HS2, claiming “lies and deception” in reporting the position of the project.
